Hangover Reset
For the day after a night of drinking, when nausea, vomiting, a headache or thirst will not let the day get started, with your last drink more than 6 hours ago. It is also used for a stomach bug that will not let you keep water down, with no warning signs. It relieves symptoms and replaces fluids; there is no proof that it shortens a hangover.

When it is not given
We follow a written clinical protocol. We do not give this drip during pregnancy (or possible pregnancy) or breastfeeding, to anyone under 18, to people with diabetes or active cancer, or to people with severe heart failure, chest pain or unstable coronary disease, moderate or severe chronic kidney disease, moderate or severe liver disease, a fever of 38.5 °C (101.3 °F) or more, a clotting disorder, an allergy to a component or a history of severe allergic reaction, or a severely weakened immune system, nor within 6 hours of alcohol or other substances. Over 65, or after another drip in the last 14 days, only on a doctor’s decision. That is why the health form is required: if anything makes the session unsafe, we tell you beforehand and the session does not go ahead, even if it is already booked.
This drip contains medication: it is only given with an individual medical prescription, after the doctor’s assessment, and you stay under observation for 30 minutes at the end. Do not drive for the next 4 to 6 hours.
Because it contains an anti-nausea medication, it is also not given to anyone with long QT syndrome or a known long QT interval, a pulse below 55, low potassium or magnesium, or who takes apomorphine or medicines that prolong the QT interval (such as amiodarone, erythromycin or antipsychotics). Say on the form if you take antidepressants.
The anti-inflammatory is only added after at least 500 mL of the drip, once you are passing urine and with the doctor’s approval; when it is not safe, the drip is given without it. It is not given if you have a stomach ulcer or have ever had gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma, nasal polyps or a reaction to anti-inflammatories, a clotting disorder, kidney disease, severe heart failure or uncontrolled high blood pressure; if you take blood thinners, corticosteroids (cortisone) or antidepressants; if you have taken an anti-inflammatory or aspirin in the last 24 hours; and, for a hangover, if you have pain in the upper stomach or have been drinking every day over the last few days.
Because it uses a fluid with electrolytes, it is also not given to anyone who already shows signs of fluid overload or swelling, or has high potassium or lactic acidosis.
We do not give this drip, and we tell you to see a doctor or go to the emergency department, if you have blood in your vomit or stools, black stools, a fever of 38.5 °C (101.3 °F) or more, severe or localized abdominal pain, signs of severe dehydration (no urine for more than 12 hours, severe dizziness, exhaustion), vomiting or diarrhea for more than 48 hours, or, if you drink every day, tremors, sweating or agitation.
